Tad Carpenter is a designer, illustrator, author and educator based in Kansas City, Missouri. Carpenter co-runs the design and branding studio, Carpenter Collective with his wife, Jessica Carpenter where they focus on bringing powerful messages to life through branding, packaging, illustration and design. They have worked with clients ranging from Target, Coca-Cola, Macy’s, Old Navy, Conan O’Brien, Adobe and MTV among many others.
With 28 years experience in the broadcast industry, Tim has been involved in multiple facets of the African television, music, events and youth culture space. Recently, he was in charge of Music & Talent for Coca-Cola’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Campaign in Africa.
Over the past 10 years, Australian designer and artist, Gemma O’Brien, has taken her passion for typography and built a flourishing career around drawing letters. Her bold type, expressive calligraphy and detailed illustration can be seen in advertising campaigns, editorial publications and large-scale murals in galleries and interiors around the world.
Carl has been working in marketing for over 20 years. At agency, as advertising planner in TBWA/London, then client, as head of marketing at Channel Five in the UK, before returning to the realm of agency to manage the likes of Naked Australia in Sydney.
Emile Rademeyer is Creative Director at VANDAL in Sydney, Australia. He excels in innovative creative for entertainment platforms, advertising, augmented reality, art, experiential and digital placemaking projects.
With a passion to bridge the gap between art, digital media, content and culture, Emile ensures VANDAL is focused on creating the most innovative moving image and sound for digital media of all types. He further oversees curation of the VANDAL Art Gallery in Redfern.
Ana is a designer and creative director. She has collaborated with some of the most prestigious studios developing main title sequences for film and television, such as Digital Kitchen, Imaginary Forces, Elastic, MPC, Prodigal Pictures, Los York, The Mill, and Prologue where she keeps collaborating today.
Part creative, part strategist, Ben’s worked in digital and social brand development since before you’d even heard of Facebook. He has refined his anarchic, bottom-up approach to communications through more than a decade working on global, content-lead brands.
Since the start of Ed’s career, his interests and passions have lied between ideation, execution and culture. With an extremely diverse portfolio of clients ranging from UNHCR to Karl Lagerfeld, Ed always puts human value at the core of his process. He believes that everyone is born creative, that kids should be allowed to sit in Congress, and that verbal language will soon be replaced by emojis.
With 17 years experience in branding, and nine of those in Asia, Katie is a writer and creative strategist at Jones Knowles Ritchie in Singapore. Katie grew up in Africa but began her career in branding in London. She spent six years at JKR in London leading relationships with clients including Bacardi before moving to somewhere much warmer. After another six years with retail consultancy Fitch as Strategy Director, she rejoined JKR and co-founded the Singapore studio. Katie specialises in brand voice, brand storytelling and seeing the woods for the trees.
Richard is a thinker, writer and speaker on creativity. He has been the founder and ECD of a highly awarded creative & design agency, building brands like Sky, Discovery, Nat Geo, AMC, the BBC and Canal+; he’s run a furniture & lighting studio with his wife; and he’s spent many happy but ultimately fruitless hours attempting to capture the perfect photographic portrait.
Karl is the CEO and Co-Founder of Hepmil Media Group. Hepmil Media Group runs the popular digital content platforms such as SGAG, MGAG etc. The group’s content is seen by over 10 million millennials across the region weekly.

In the world of promotions and marketing, Rob’s been pretending he knows what he’s talking about for something like three decades now. Holy crap that’s a long time to get away with. But, it’s now one of those things that has gone on for so long, everyone’s afraid to just question why. So just humour him and nod your head once in a while if he corners you in a bar. He’s mostly harmless. He’ll probably just tell you he’s trained more Rocket Award winners than you can count on two hands and that the teams he’s proudly created all across Asia consistently break new ground in this industry each and every day.
